Use

Break-in period

Miramat is a high-end mat that will just get better with use and time. It will require an initial break-in to unleash it's full potential. The surface will grow softer with use and provide even better friction. If you are doing cardio exercises with shoes, the mat will break in over a week or two. Slightly longer for other exercises.

Cleaning

Miramat cleans easily by applying some mild soap with a damp towel. Wipe off any soap residues with a second damp towel.

Storage

Roll the mat with the top surface facing outwards, as this will prevent corners and edges from bending up next time you will use the mat. Use the two complimentary storage straps to hold it and it is ready for storage.

Great exercise mat, when we replaced our carpet with hard flooring we were so happy with the result and we went into lockdown I regretted it instantly. Hardwood flooring is not great to be kneeling, so after spending some time looking for exercise mats I came across Miramax mat and the sizes they offer was just what I needed. I ordered the 214 x 153 cm mat and the mat is just slightly smaller than my rug, so I keep it under my rug permanently and do not have to worry about rolling it away every day. The mat is heavy duty and I'm not sure if I'd be carrying this mat around even though it came with the strap. Overall very happy with the price and product that I received.

Worth every cent! It doesn’t slip at all, it is relatively slim considering how much shock absorption it offers, easy to clean, and a great size. I bought a much cheaper clip-together mat for exercise but it slipped (dangerously) when doing aerobic exercises and had to have furniture on the edges to pin it down, was also too slippy to do floor exercises properly, and was really thick. Wish I’d bought the Miramat first, it’s the best!

I love the size of the mat, and not having to stop half way through the exercises to turn a normal yoga mat around when I want to use the long side of the mat. Miramat lets me do continuous series of exercises without having to turn the yoga mat around when I want the length. I also like the density of the Miramat and the grip of the mat. Keeps the hands and feet in place, no sliding around. Glad to have found this mat and glad I bought it. In addition, customer service is prompt and efficient. Great service.

I love my mat! It is made of a very good quality material, though I wish it could be thicker. I am using it over a carpet, it generally has a good grip but it does move a bit when I am doing HIIT or dancing. I ordered the extra large gym mat and it was dispatched the same day. The only negative: the courier took too long to deliver the mat to me. It took 7 days for it to get from Brisbane to Sydney.. the gym equipment I ordered which were from NZ, were delivered to me after 3 days. I ordered it the same day I ordered my mat. Never heard back from customer service(Miramat) when I sent an email to follow up.

I’m really loving my new Miramat. We started setting up a workout room in our garage during the first lockdown, but the lock-in matts I initially bought kept slipping away from under my feet, which was not ideal when you are trying to do high intensity interval training. The new mat as promised does not slide on garage concrete flooring. Very happy thank you. I might get another one to place my kickboxing free standing punch bag on as that keeps sliding too when I kick it.

I really do love this mat. The perfect size for my space and the activities I want to do. It grips to the floor so well and is a non-slip surface on top so is great for yoga and other bare foot exercises (but still hardy enough for workouts in shoes). And it looks good!! I took a star off as I thought the mat could be thicker for high impact activities such as HIIT and Les Mills Grit, Body Attack etc. I bought a second mat for on top and it made a huge difference for shock absorption. (My floor is concrete with floating floor on top). Overall, very happy but do recommend doubling up for high impact activities.

The Miramar arrived really quickly so I was impressed with the service before I’d even seen it. Once I managed to grapple it upstairs (super heavy) and opened it up and laid it out I was even more impressed - it’s really good quality material and very thick. Ive done weights and yoga on it so far and love it - no slipping and it doesn’t move around even though it’s laid on carpet. For yoga I don’t have to keep turning the mat around depending on my moves so it allows me to move from one position to another without having to worry about my feet or hands not being in the mat. Also it does not smell of anything - all of my yoga mats had a terrible chemical smell when I first got them and the Miramat does not. So thank you. I’m super impressed.
